Here’s how to ALWAYS make the right decisions, even if you ain’t good at it
History remembers the virtues of Athens, yet they were the greatest realists of classical Greece.
The emotional appeals of the world are not worth a good, concrete argument, especially when this one adds to their power.
Do not feel obligated or guilty when making decisions.
When choosing between the past and the future…
A realistic person always opts for the future and forgets the past.
In 433 BC, the island of Corcyra and the city-state of Corinth were on the brink of conflict.
Both sides sent ambassadors to Athens to try to win over the Athenians to their causes.
While Corcyra bet on the value that the island could add to them for future fights…
The Corinthian people bet on gratitude, listing all the things they did for Athens.
In other words, they should be grateful for what they did by choosing them.
At the end… Athens chose Corcyra and threw Corinth in the trash 😂.
While most people rely on the emotional aspect, think of what value you can add to them.
They’ll not only be more likely to accept your demand… But also make them more dependent on you!
especially if what you’re giving is scarce.
You may not like to hear this, but playing with emotions rarely works.
Don’t take the easy path like 99% of people, and think like a real businessman.
This mindset works in EVERY aspect!
All you need to do is focus on logical decisions and think of what value both parties can get.
